Gardening and tending to flowers and plants can be great fun and really rewarding but it does create alot more need for storage space, not only the plants and flowrers them selves but also tools, material, soil, seeds, a whole host of things.
Garden sheds are used by people to solve this storage problem. A shed is a great help if you have different items which cannot be stored easily in the house. It provides an easy solution to the common storage problem. We had a wooden garden shed at our home and it stored lots of items which were not used in day to day life.

My mum loved gardening and we stored our gardening supplies like the lawn mover, fertilizers, manure, seeds, and other gardening equipment in the shed. Apart from these supplies, this shed kept our bicycles safe from sun and rain. Actually, this garden shed was a one stop solution for our storage problem. We would often pile old books, newspapers and magazines in the shed and use them later when the need arose.

My sister was pursuing a designing course and she would often buy expensive magazines which she needed to refer later on. Storing these magazines in the loft wasn’t possible as it was difficult to retrieve them when required. This shed was also great at storing old toys and clothes which mom gave away to the needy and poor. So if you are a keen gardener or just need somewhere to store things you have run out of room for in the house you can get a great garden shed at york timber products which could solve all your storage problems.

The garden has become a more of the house and as such should be designed. To create a garden in our home we must first make a plan, defining the use that we would like, what functions must meet according to family habits. This summary should be inclusive of all family members, including pets, must have a space dedicated specifically to enable them to enjoy this wonderful nature.

Regardless of whether we are dealing with a small garden or large, rural or urban, the main guiding factor will be the house itself, its plant and development, the garden should be based on the size, material, style, color of the house, like any room. From these data, we must establish the basis for the design of the garden, which should act as an intermediary between the interior and exterior.

A number of functional and decorative elements that increase the profits that the garden can yield such as pergolas, barbecue area, barbecues, swimming pools, fountains, etc. To balance the visual weight of these elements, it is necessary to incorporate large-sized plants or colors to provide the required dose of nature.

The formal garden design is very important, we must divide the volume occupied zones (vegetation, ornaments, etc..), The shadows, free zones (Roads and grass) and they should all be combined in a balanced manner.

The vegetation should be included to offset the dominant lines of space as buildings dominated by straight lines, or vegetation, roads, rolling terrain, etc., Dominated by curved lines. A garden surrounded by a housing curvilinear forms straight markedly produces striking visual effect in these cases, it is better to adopt the dominant lines.

Balance does not mean the same area allocated to each area, but visually prove a harmonious whole, where no element stands out conspicuously above the rest.

The garden should be appealing, invite you to explore it. It is necessary that all the senses are mentioned in our garden design, incorporating the sounds that can be a source, birds, etc.., Aromas of vegetation, colorful flowers, both the different textures of vegetation material used for decorative elements. Casuarina species and attract birds and are true soundboards wind, aromatic plants such as azaleas invade the garden with their fragrance.

We devote a corner of the garden to the wilderness, where we allow plants to grow freely, enabling even the weeds.

Some tips for designing the garden:

We can choose various topics of interest to our garden, which may be given by various elements, a bench, an exotic plant, a source, a sculpture, etc.

The Roads should form a circuit to tour the garden. The materials must harmonize with the materials of the house.

Choose plants that require little maintenance simplify gardening.
It is preferable to select few varieties of plants and several copies of each.

It is a fact: having spaces where wood reign in our garden, we really love it. Is that the combination wood / garden is one of those couples that we really enjoyed.

Wood is the oldest materials to be used at all times by the man used it to build their houses, to build transportation like cars or boats and as a supporter of many structures. Today is also a favorite even compared to other less expensive as PVC or aluminum.

It’s true: it requires care and maintenance, but in return gives us a warm presence and strong at once, any other material that may give us. Everything ultimately depends on your budget and your needs.

In the market find a variety of products of wood and wood types to make them. It is important in this case buy reliable places where you ensure that the wood has been properly treated or cured as is usually called, because we are talking about wood that live outdoors and withstand all kinds of harsh climate.

What you can use it? Many things of course, point out just a few tables, chairs, decks, platforms, benches, Treillage, planters, swings, borders, fences and bridges or minivallas. You should compare prices and quality, two variables that make the difference between ° spending “and” investment. “

The rose is a shrub mainly characterized by its flowers, called roses and thorns covering its stem, family Rosaceae. The rose is considered by many as the queen of the garden and the rose bush is blooming most frequently used in the decoration of it reaching even the concept of a rose garden, a roof garden of roses only.

The variety in the colors of the roses is huge and is that because this flower so prized for its beauty and aroma, has been the subject of many hybrids that have led to today there are about 30,000 species, but the more traditional even have an associated meaning, are a symbol of love red, white symbol of purity, roses represent appreciation, the yellow express joy, but the more superstitious can see some double meaning, most evoke positive feelings, but there are also black and gray roses represent death and sadness respectively.

The usefulness of the roses in the garden is very diverse, can you make them solid, combined with other shrubs and vines can be used as coating and decoration of walls, it is also interesting cultivation in pots and also can be used to decorate home cut flowers in vases and centers and of course is an ideal gift for any occasion as well as other applications for the manufacture of perfumes and even cooking as their petals are edible and used in the processing of delicate dishes.

The roses are not very demanding as far as soil characteristics refers only need good drainage, as is customary in all shrubs and flowering plants, what is important is to find a location that protects them from the wind and receiving plenty of sunshine to bloom so beautifully.

The only problem is that roses are very susceptible to pests and diseases, so prevention is key to this shrub and is often necessary to spray, we must be careful sprayed the roses, because if we use chemicals petals not be consumed during a reasonable period of time.

Botrytis is a fungus that occurs when plants retain considerable excess moisture, as seen in this picture. Can you prevent this problem in our garden?.

We must be particularly vigilant during the winter as frost cause plants are less protected against attacks from fungi and other agents, thus more easily sick.

To keep the cold causes the plants are most vulnerable is possible by placing straw mulch copies or more land on the area in which they are planted, embroidered with these additions. If you are located in a pot, it is possible to make a lined with newspaper, for example.

Another very positive step to prevent botrytis in the winter to protect the copies of the rain and prevent them remain excessively wet surfaces. To remove or retain the water we can use a paper towel over the area in question.

If it were not for your orchard only a few copies (normal) can be integrated into the garden and the tree has a dual status of ornamental and productive. Thus, you have the following ways:

• In some groups of individuals: pears, pomegranates, peaches, …

• isolated plants: walnut fig, olive, … is a tree that is usually placed in the area’s leading garden. A memory of fruit, unusual or pruning of ornamental plants (the pyramid) is a major point of interest.

• Within walking on either side of the road, flowering ornamental trees most suitable. Are almonds, cherries, plums and especially citrus.

• To hedge or informal style pears, blackberries and currants, especially in rural gardens.

• And of course, the cultivation of pot on the small fruit. The most suitable is the fruit of pear, apple, plum, raspberry, currant, pomegranate and oranges. The advantage is that the cold can be protected by moving to a warmer place in winter.

• The grass is the main consumer of water in the garden.

• The grass requires high maintenance: watering, fertilizing, mowing, profiles, windy, scarification, reseeding, control pests and fungi.

• The grass is contraindicated in Organic Gardening.

• There are other alternatives to cover the ground:

- Ground cover plants
- Masses of shrubs
- Pine bark
- Gravel and decorative aggregates
- Floor

• If you are not going to give up, devote a small area, so it is important for his family, perhaps the central area around the pond and a few other areas.

• Avoid implanted into marginal areas or steep slopes (slopes), better put in ground cover plants such sites.

• Choose a mixture of grasses that are resistant to drought.

• Get a little water to the grass roots to go deeper. Do not water so often.

• Less means less use of lawn mowers and trimmers to edge, thus reducing fossil fuel consumption and emissions of noise and smoke.

• grasses are also often treated with insecticides, fungicides and herbicides. Therefore should be avoided.
