Varieties
- Delphinium peregrinum: has erect stems, pruinosa, all pubescent or only at the base, with ascending scales. The flowers are purple or violet intense bluish.
- Consolida regalis: very branchy, flowers with petals and spur outstanding extended back long and thin, up to 2.5 cm long. Leaves divided into many segments narrow linear bracts under the flowers linear, shorter than flowering stems. It blooms from late spring and throughout the summer.
- Delphinium fissum: is an endemic endangered Iberian, which is distributed in a few points southwest quadrant of the peninsula. This presents larkspur purple flowers in early summer with a long spur and densely pubescent, and Mediterranean woodland habitat but can take refuge in grasslands. Read the rest of this entry »
