Description
- Perennial herbaceous plant.
- They grow best in sunny locations.
- The leaves are toothed, lobed, grow from the stem base. - It blooms in early summer.
- Height: 75 to 90 cm and up to 2 m.
- Flowers forming spikes or clusters, with a more or less spurred morphology.
- The colors range from dark purple to creamy white, through a range of different shades of blue.
Care
- Fertilize with a balanced fertilizer in spring, young shoots clarify that reach 7 cm and get rid of the faded flower spikes.
- Protect from cold in winter.
- This plant needs a well drained fertile soil. The pooling the kill.
- Use a mentor to support it and plant it in full sun and sheltered from the cold.
- Need a transplant every two years.
- Common pests: snails, slugs, spiders, woodlice and centipedes, among others.
- Remove spent flowers to encourage a second flowering. Do not cut in the fall, cut in spring.
